Children's Area The Wilderness Trial Festival is a family-friendly environment where children are welcomed. In that spirit we have a children's area which offers lots of fun, educational, and safe activities for children of all ages and lasts the entire day of the festival. The 2003 children's area included a fire truck from the Christiansburg Fire Department, a clown from Radford University's Creative Services, the Christiansburg Police Department Dare Car, and the Montgomery Regional Library's Bookmobile, as well as various vendors. There was also visits from Smokey the Bear and Woodsie the Owl. We would like to thank everyone who was a part of the children's area for the wonderful time we had.
